I know these responses are quite old but I laughed when I saw people referring to the X-31 in present tense. The only remaining X-31 is in a German museum. The planes were NASA/DARPA research tools from the early 1990's.

Demo models x31 vs su47 say both only have guns lol

the f35 will have stealth over the su47 is about it. Though the pak fa has it all baby.

Yes it does!

we have yet to see the progress of the pulse detonation engines. this technology have more potential than conventional jet fighter engines. if this technology progresses significantly; piloted jet fighters will still be around for decades to come.

@USAAIRPOWER Does the Su-37 use 3D Thrust Vectoring?
-
it looks and sounds like the euro fighter........isn't it?
-
@ete0 true but the X31 had it's maiden flight in 1990, back then it was a ground breaking concept.
I think it would be cool if F-22 Raptor used 3D Thrust Vectoring instead of 2D.
