A very, very good video. I don't really know how to word it without sounding cynical, so I'll just say it bluntly. The video endorsed the libertarian option, so I need to ask.. how does one know they are not doing the same thing Dems and Repubs are doing in terms of the totalitarian concept discussed in the video? Perhaps, i'm just curious because the video doesn't explain why it endorses Ron Paul as someone that has no Totalitarian agenda behind himself.

That is a great question. All you can do is look at their previous behavior and make an educated guess. I would ignore what they say unless it is congruent with their behavior. Gary Johnson or Ron Paul look like solid options in 2012

I thought you folks wanted libertarians? Neither Johnson nor Paul are libertarians, though they've managed to hold onto a few of the libertarian principles e.g. Paul's stances on use of the military, which almost his only libertarian position. The economics is lunatic and anti-libertarian.

It sounds like we might have different definitions of libertarian. No problem... Lets stop using it. I think the best government is that which governs least.

Good video, but should have mentioned Gary Johnson as an option since he will be on the ballot as a Libertarian in all 50 states.

should also mention, that we don't need a government or a "leader" at all. read the declaration of independence, "consent of the governed". i do not consent. now what?

I understand the video is a bit old and dated, but perhaps should be updated with a transcription. Listen, I am a Libertarian and I support Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Milton Friedman, Peter Schiff, etc., but I also hate bias. The only thing I'd change with this video is to update it to say that Obama was referring to the Iraq war in the clip you used, and that he ended that war. You can also add in that it wasn't the first thing he did, he actually sent in many more troops before he took any out.

Absolute transparency in government will be a good start for America.

Perhaps. I'm using the term libertarian to refer to the true, original libertarians which were socialists/anarchists(left)/non-statist communists, etc...(mostly interchangeable), and ALL against illegitimate unaccountable authority or any systems which would lead to such hierarchy, such as capitalism. NONE were pro-capitalist for obvious reasons. Hence, the oxymoronic notion of "anarcho-capitalism" of which there is no such thing, nor should there be if one appreciates freedom or liberty.

    He's weak, and he's NOT a libertarian.

What "libertarian groups"? I'm unaware of any. All I've seen as of late are the folks mistakenly referring to themselves as "libertarians" when, in fact, they're not really very close at all. The opposite in many respects.
