You are right, it was Beetle Bailey and all those characters you described where on a VHS, (i'm too used to saying dvd), they were all space themed episodes and the only one I can't seem to find is krazy kat. Thanks anyhow.

@EssJay00 The military cartoon may have been Beetle Bailey, as Executive Producer, Al Brodax, did cartoons with Beetle Bailey, Krazy Kat, and Snuffy Smith. Brodax also did Cool Mc Cool, The Beatles cartoons, and yes, even Yellow Submarine.
