  • Here in Australia, it's very common for early 20-something, gainfully-employed University graduates to live at home with their parents while working and saving money. It's a win-win situation because the parents still get to see their kids at home, and the kids live rent-free on the provision that they save a significant deposit and take the first step toward home ownership.

  • if living costs were lower then a lot of young adults could actually move out.

  • but these changing winds can blow cold and hostile...

  • for some reason it's looked down upon in the united states. :(

  • and that my freinds, is why you dont get a degree in something unless YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO WITH IT, aka teachers degree

  • It's wise to save immense of money at your parent's house, for you could use the money for purchasing land & house. =)

  • It is not just young adults, but older unemployed like me who also got laid off and also living with parents. College grads expect too much, dream way too high with a fancy life style. There is no such thing as I can not find a job as there are jobs in washing dishes, scrubbing toilets, sweeping the parking lot, and working construction. Cost of living and gas will always go up as the working poor will suffer financially.

  • no kidding especially in my area. one bedroom and one bath is like 1000+ dollars/mo. Factor in utilities. Car. Gasoline. Car Insurance. Food. Other unforseen expenses that comes your way when down on luck. You're looking at a pay of 20.00 + per hour just to scrape by.

  • mom's basement rocks.

  • as i watch this in mom's basement
