Diddy Kong Racing - Walrus Race 2 as Pipsy

Racing as Pipsy in Bluey's Course. This is a rematch race.

Pipsy has the best handling and acceleration, but her top speed is very low. Because she has the lowest speed out of the other characters, Bluey is the hardest boss for her to beat. Tiptup has great handling and acceleration, but his top speed is low. Even though he has low speed, his top speed is slightly better than Pipsy's.

HOVERCRAFT TIP: Do not-- I repeat-- DO NOT hold the R button as you're going straight forward. Don't hold Down on the analog stick either. Doing either of those things WILL decrease your speed with the hovercraft. Only use the R button for sharp turns. It's better than turning on ground and water without the R button.

For those of you that are having a huge problem trying to beat Bluey as Pipsy the second time you race him, here is how to do it.

You race in a hovercraft, the hardest vehicle to use. Keep in mind that holding the R button decreases your speed when going straight forward. Turning on ground also decreases your speed, but not much. Overturning on ground can cause serious trouble. In order to avoid this, use the R button to hop and turn at the same time. It's helpful, especially for sharp turns. It may take some getting used to, but it's worth it.

Since Pipsy has the lowest speed out of the other drivers, you absolutely must get a super turbo start at the beginning of the race. Don't bother going for the first red balloon. Just follow Bluey into the tunnel.

In the tunnel, you have to be careful how you turn. Hitting the walls is not an option. If you need to, use the R button to hop and turn.

Once you're out of the first tunnel, continue following Bluey. Don't go for red balloons. After passing the third red balloon as you're turning left, get the blue balloon and save it. Then get the second blue balloon as you're avoiding the snowballs. Don't use it yet. At this point, Bluey slows down a bit as you're entering the second tunnel.

In the second tunnel, turn carefully with or without using the R button, making sure that you don't hit the walls. Since Bluey slowed down at the snowball part, he speeds back up as he leaves the tunnel.

As you're exiting the second tunnel, let go of the accelerator and use the blue balloon boost. During that time, make sure you have your finger OFF the accelerator for 1 and a half second as you see the green boost. Once the multicolored smoke disappears, accelerate again. Avoid the trees and just go straight. If you're successful with the green boost, you should win the race against Bluey as Pipsy.

TIP: To get a green boost, you have to let go of the accelerator before you either hit a Zipper or use a blue balloon boost. During that time, you must wait UNTIL the multicolored smoke disappears, and THEN accelerate again. If you don't wait until the multicolored smoke disappears, you won't get a fully fast boost, and that could hurt your chances of winning a race, especially against Bluey, and when you're trying to beat T.T.'s times, as well as beating Wizpig.

If you're still having trouble using Zippers or blue balloon boosts, I highly suggest that you switch from the course map to the speedometer. It shows how fast you're going, and it's really helpful.

ive beat Bluey many times as Pipsy without using this method u just have to know how to handle her and for me i only use pipsy since 1997

@Enriquelio But the problem is the hovercraft. You'd have to turn very lightly, or else you'll decrease your speed on the ground. And even then, you'll need to use the R button to hop and turn.
