Overview of a two-week teachers program sponsored by Ohio's Aggregates and Industrial Minerals Industry. A practical, hands-on teachers program demonstrating the importance of Ohio's construction and industrial minerals industry and the important role it plays in our economy. Classroom time, hands-on practical demonstrations, teaching methods and field-trips were combined to give a comprehensive view of this important and elemental industry. 24 teachers took part in this 2 week program which was funded by the Ohio Aggregates and Industrial Minerals Association (OAIMA) and its members. Each Ohioan on average utilizes 11 tons of aggregate and industrial minerals mined in Ohio each year. For more information visit www.oaima.org
