is that brine shrimp in the water at the last few seconds? rite after the betta ate the shrimp and left the scene? causei see some white shrimplike things swimming.

The threat behavior of this is a thing for BETTA♂ to protect a fry.
Although this BETTA♂ and shrimp were bred in the tank same six months or more, this was the first time that such action is taken.
Then, since BETTA♂ began to have preyed on a fry, it isolated, but a shrimp did not prey on a fry.
The fry and shrimp which became large are passed in the same tank with sufficient relations now.
