  • Appreciating today how, even in easy songs, Rory Gallagher rarely resorted to strumming his way through. His style always seemed to max out a chord or scale. Makes most other guitarists seem lazy,--especially power chorders. Yes, you can hit a chord hard, but can you massage that puppy like Rory? Ring the bell when you can!

  • Even Hendrix said ask Rory! When asked what's it like to be the best guitarist on the planet! ;)

  • @phantomhelm Hey I found it - Thanks! What an original, cool tune. I mean, how much better can it get than that.

  • @BCRSIX Try putting King of Zydeco - Rory Gallagher in the youtube search

  • @1958marky Haha I see what you mean. Type in "Johnny Winter Be careful with a fool", the bass player looks so much like Blackmore!

  • @MedeaTor John Squire comes to mind, his playing is so subtle it's unreal. Listen to MAde of stone

  • I haven't found it on YouTube, but I heard a recording once where Rory played a Zydeco tune - sounded just like he was born in a Louisianna swamp. He could play anything!

  • This is a great "guitar hero" pic of Rory at 3:10 -- put the man in black clothes and you've got Ritchie Blackmore, hands down!

  • My favorite of the older Rory tunes.
