A new short film featuring Birmingham's beautiful skyline, as filmed from Cleveland Tower of the Sentinals.

Filmed November 2007.

  • Brummies: we are northerners to the southerners and southerners to the northerners, Brummies simply cannot win. Most of you spouting on about Birmingham being shit have either never been there or haven't recently. All cities have their good and bad people and places, but Birmingham isn't as bad a place to live as many (mostly ignorant) people would make out.

  • whats so shit about it

  • @rev0lut10nz ..totally agree with you, i'm from leeds and ive been to birmingham, and its nowhere near as bad as what people say, i thought it was buzzing with nice people too, all the big english cities arnt that much differant really, and there are parts of leeds city centre that are a shithole and we also have plenty of ugly modern shite from the 60's, even some of the knew stuff going up in leeds is cheap and nasty and will look a fucking twat in 20 years time.

  • @tb1985uk Modern? if 1960's concrete mixed in with some cheap apartment blocks from the last boom is modern, what planet do you actually live on, i mean come on Birmingham is a mess. it needs to start again.

  • Birmingham = 1960's concrete paradise shit hole.

  • how very grim, just look at what modern architecture has done to this city

  • Birmingham is a modern city, and I think redevelopment should be focused around attracting national and international firms that need skyscraper space, this is the future of Birmingham and skyscrapers would really suit Birmingham, more than London IMO.

What you see today, is the legacy of that industry. You might see it as unpalatable. Others might marvel at its gravitace. As a tourist I have flocked to some of the world's most notable places, to Venice to witness a piece of antiquity, to the Pyramids, the might falls in South America, the Great Barrier Reef, the Taj Mahal, Great Wall of China. etc. And in the same light, one might visit Birmingham and marvel at the gritty, earthiness of the place and its people.

  • LOl sure is that why leeds is voted for it

  • looks a right dump.....
