We have developed a system utilizing GVS to replicate the effects of spaceflight on sensorimotor function (gait, balance, gaze etc). Here we perform various clinical balance tests during pseudo-random GVS.

  • in this particular case it was monopolar but typically we use bipolar - this was a quick test to see if we could make someone walk like an 'astronaut'

  • Did you measure also head acceleration? Are you using monopolar GVS or bipolar?
