Hey, there are different kinds of dp. I suffer GREATLY. Never will I embrace suffering.
-
To anyone reading that that has this condition, it will pass. It might take a few months, it might take a few years, or it might only take a few hours. But it will eventually pass. I had DP/DR everyday for over a month, and the symptoms are impossible to really describe unless you've had the misfortune of having them yourself. Some people experience DP/DR when using drugs and say they enjoy the experience, but this to me is unthinkable.

@Brittany853 I never really got it checked up, but i do recognize alot of the symptomps from depersonalization&Derealizatio
n, and ive been feeling like this even before i smoked weed, but since i smoke weed it did get worse. -
I have heard that marijuana does not cause depersonalization but it just triggers it. I've heard that if you get it from marijuana you are already vulnerable to it and would get it without smoking as well. Do you think this is true?

Does anyone else feel that whenever they think about feeling "depersonalization" it starts? Because for me it comes when i am thinking about it and goes and when im not thinking about it and distracted....

@mirasfashion Mine has gone away though I got it from taking benzos dont let your doctor put you on benzos and DP is not a real disorder its a symptom of anxiety just another reason for doctors to get money off you its not real the more you know that the better!

For help- tell friends/family. Talk to your doctor. See a psychiatrist and psychologist. Try to figure out why you have it and go from there. Try meds (ssri, lamotrigine, benzodiazapine, antipsychotic), talk therapies such as CBT and DBT. Try EMDR, transcranial magnetic stimulation. Exercise. Eat well.
For some it goes away. For others it last a long time.
I get very paranoid!
