@cjwright79 Well, that would make sense except he could only reach the next gate by going through this gate first. The gate would eventually lead him to the Southern Oracle who would then provide him with the answers he so desperately needed. And, of course, a warrior such as he could not back down from a challenge.

@cjwright79 In the novel it´s explained that the second gate only appears when the first was passed.
But in the novel the gates are described totally different anyway.

This was one of my favorite movies as a kid. But I imagined being someone who had never seen the movie, and trying to understand this video- I burst out laughing when the kid appears reading a book and shouting BE CONFIDENT! whoever hasnt seen the movie was probably like what the f was that?!?!
