[6/05/2006] - Despite promising to fight to push for an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would protect marriage as the exclusive union between one man and one woman during his 2004 re-election bid, President Bush failed to deliver in his second term. The day before the U.S. Senate failed to pass a federal Marriage Protection Amendment in June of 2006, FPN President Joe Glover appeared in a nationally televised debate on CNN to discuss the amendment, and Bush's dissappointing lack of support for its passage.
If Jesus is alright with Homosexuality then why did he destroy two cities because of it? Sodom and Gamorah? Ever heard of a Sodomite? Those cities were full of homosexuality. That was in the Old Testament and God's word never changes so if I and everyone else as a Christian want to be a firm believer then we are instructed to Love what God Loves and Hate what He Hates. No Exceptions.

Bush spent exactly one day on this issue - the day he gave that news conference. He quickly dropped it thereafter. Bush is not a social conservative and never has been one.

Religion has no place in politics or the government. Marraige is, first and foremost, a contract with the state. All are guaranteed by the constitution to be treated equally. Agnostics and atheists are not discriminated against, and neither should the homosexual community. Jesus did not preach hate and discrimination. Why do so-called Christians?
