Honestly, I would argue that it's more fun if you don't know. It's not usually as entertaining if the effect doesn't have any mystery to it.

There are no actors in the audience. I do that trick in my shows. It's even simpler than you think. Please don't reveal the method if you do work it out because magicians use those tricks to make a living. There's nothing entertaining about it if everyone knows how it's done. Know what I mean?
