McDonald's Sonic LCD Games Review

In 2003, Sega teamed up with McDonald's to produce a series of LCD handheld games for a Happy Meal promotion, and did so again in 2004. Today I take the task of reviewing these games.

If you have any trouble making out some of the games filmed, I sincerely apologise, but I tried my best with the sort of lighting I had access to and my Flip Video UltraHD doesn't have any sort of auto-focus.

Much like my Terminator (Sega Genesis/Mega Drive) review, this is another video I've been wanting to make for a long-ass time. I first had the idea in November of 2009 with the intention of making it an Ashens-style review for Christmas Eve of that year and I did actually film some footage for it. But ultimately I wasn't very good at improvising a decent commentary live and I had a lot of difficulty filming the games with the camera I had at the time.

Fast forward a year and a half later and I've finally managed to finish the review with a style I'm most comfortable with and hopefully you'll enjoy it much better than what it COULD of been in 2009.

Oh man, hahaha. These McDonald toys are a part of my childhood. I remember getting the Amy and Rouge one, where you control one of them (can't remember who you control) and beat the other in a tennis game.

Now where did I throw it off to?

wow, this brought back memories, i had the green sonic one back when i was like 8 years old in panama....i clearly remember that me and mom where at my sister's ballet academy, and while she was practicing, my mom told me "lets go get something to eat". she asked if i wanted pizza or mcdonald's.. and i said mcdonalds becausei saw a guy eating a happy meal and he had the tails game. i wanted one because sonic was my idol (he still is) and.... i got the sonic the hedgehog one :)
