If Halloween is a handout, so is Christmas. Children want, ask for, and expect presents on Christmas. We may as well call birthday presents handouts as well.

It's not really begging for handouts when the people giving the handouts are totally willing and if not can simply opt out of the holiday.

do little kids give their parents gifts on christmas? no. do they write santa a letter asking (or begging, as hannity would call it) for gifts? yes. is a pillowcase full of candy worth nearly as much as all of the gifts an average child receives on christmas day? not even close. get your head out of your ass sean. when these kids are adults they'll be handing out candy themselves
