Don't complain about Colm's facial hair; he was also playing Jean Valjean in the Les Mis segment later that night. Couldn't have a beardless 24601, now could we? (Or could we? Has there ever been one? I honestly don't know. But I digress.)

So, Erik was really Jean Valjean in disguise. That explains why there are a lot of actors who have been in POTO and Les Mis. I always thought they were connected in someway. Gosh, he must have been pretty old by the time he decided to disguise himself. Even though he supposedly died at the end of Les Mis. :)

I loved this as a kid! I rented this on VHS more than once when I was a kid my mother would let me rent it this concert got me involved with Phantom of the Opera! After i saw this on VHS, I felt like I was ready to take on The phantom of the Opera live onstage and I got my wish, because I begged my mother and father to buy tickets to bring me to see The Phantom of the Opera when I was 10! I remember after the show, my father got a parking ticket because he forgot to pay the parking fee!
