This swimmer has a beautiful stroke and is looking for finer points on how to get even faster.
The positive aspects of her stroke:
-balanced front to back
-head position looking down
-reaching forward with spearing arm
-front quadrant swimmign technique
-she acheives an early veritical forearm
Points for improvement
-she loses the EVF very quickly due to pulling to hard with the stronger lats which overwhelm the rotator cuff muscles. You can see in the still frame that as soon as she pulls, the elbow drops and the total surface area of the forearm is drastically reduced.
Fixes:
-don't focus on pulling, focus on body rotation to spear the opposite arm
-feel the pressure of the water on the full surface of the forearm throughout the stroke
-try to maintain the gentle soft arc in the shape of a VW Bug hood throughout the pulling phase

Suzanne - Your dissection of strong and weak points is hugely illuminating.
