Great song. I love the part of the "sometimes you've got to be wrong and learn the hard way" When i found out that the 1st speaking was Corey Taylor and the 3rd was Chris Jericho, i even like more the song

everyone is saying how this song is boring, well you dont appreciate instruments then

Okay I'm too lazy to read all the comments but this song is a continuation of Mike Portnoy's 12-part Alcoholic's Anonymous suite, hence the first movement of Repentance is called "VIII. Regret." This has been going on since Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence and its opening track The Glass Prison.
Also, I absolutely love this song. And album. And band. And John Petrucci is god. That is all :D

i once thought it better to regret, things that i´ve done, then haven´t... sometimes you´ve got to be wrong, and learn the hard way, just when you through hanging on... you´re saved
Awesome, my favorite Systematic Chaos song

I think he mean the musical continuity DT songs have. This album has that. Sacrifice sons and In the Presence of Enemies is a good example.
Why are calm songs boring? Music of this level is never boring, and calm songs are beautiful, especially DT's. In fact, I think their ballads are more brilliant than their heavy stuff..
