REARL NVG's use light ampilfication technology which takes AMBIENT light and amplifies it for the user to illuminate teh area. thats why real NVG's have theoretically unlimited range. these TOY goggles that are sold at TOY stores and packaged with VIDEO games are limited by the short range of the IR 'flash light". they are nowhere near close to military grade NVG's stop kidding yourself.

as i am going to go buy wm2, and i need to know if how nvgs work. when the cameraman was in the dark room, could you actually see the guy with the nvgs? do the nvg's emit light so you can see him? does the room look identical to the guy in the dark weather the guy with the nvg's is in or out? thx. gt = dan cog

The blue light that you saw was the light that the naked eye cant see there is a small dim light for one mode for better looking picture, but you can also put in in stealth mode which enables it to have no light at all and still see in the dark completely fine
