@foxxycleopaterra We don't wear poppies in the United States and quite frankly I'm pissed that I was never taught about this in school (I know what Armistice Day is though)... I blame it on the fact that in the 50's Armistice Day was changed to Veteran's Day, and probably with that we lost its tradition.

To the Aussie who doesn't know what the poppy is. Surely you have ANZAC day over there. In NZ we all wear poppies that day wouldn't you too? I can't believe how many people have no idea what a Flanders poppy is. History people!
