naah nikon sucks cuz their camera have limited fps. they actually wanted you to buy their expensive $200 battery grip so that you could shoot at higher rate of fps. a cheaper sony alhpha 550 could do 7fps without any battery grip and its a damn good buy for its price tag. next, canon 7D could do 8fps without any of those battery grip. you're wasting money buying nikon gear. nikon is not good at all. don't get con by nikon. else, you'd be a jackass.

6fps is more than enough if you shoot properly !! i have dissmised the d300s , i own a d300 and the upgrade is not significant enough to justify a purchase! the video mode is showing flaws , like the d90!

Well, with the camera being a press sample and the shutter being rated @ 150,000 clicks, I will take my chances 'wasting' 40-50 shots :)

oh, how nice. it's not yours, it's a 'press sample" (and chances are, you ain't press brotha), so it's ok to wear it out...

@rinceresource : no, I am not "press", but I review cameras. And this specific one was a loaner from Nikon; lent to testers, reviewers and the press.
