Good, but it's a bit late. Why couldn't they have done that long before?

@NDLlama1 The Holy Man is in a padded cell, somewhere in the US, I HOPE

@ukchristian28 No, but that hasn't stopped many from other cases!! I'd just like to know if any would like to.

I wonder if any of his followers would like to sue him now?

@visualvirtue
Legally, would they have a case?

They should have known he was a fraud...so, why would they?

Well exactly. They chose to follow him and not question anything he said. He didn't force them to give up their money and possessions. I do think though that morally speaking, he ought to spend all the millions Family Radio has aquired to help those people rebuild their lives.

@ukchristian28 Yeah, well let's remember that the end of the world has been moved to October 21 now, just a few months away, so what would be the point in rebuilding their lives? Well, at least that's the arguments I see him using.. BTW, I can't help notice that Oct 21 is the day before the "Great Disappointment" of William Miller (Oct 22, 1844). Coincidence? I was raised as a Seventh-Day Adventist (now I consider myself non-denominational), so I just could not help but notice.

@kris01987
That is interesting. The way in which Miller's spiritualised the coming of Christ is very similar as well and as you would know, that is the origin of the Seventh Day Adventists' investigative judgement doctrine. It makes me wonder what other groups will come out of Campingism. I would say though that Seventh Day Adventism is not nearly as bad as some groups. In many respects they are orthodox and many of them will be true believers.
