Takeoff into a Thunder Storm - Nigeria, West Africa

I was lucky enough to sit in the cockpit during a takeoff in a DC10 from Lagos Nigeria through a thunderstorm. If you're of a nervous disposition in terms of flying i would not watch this....

Only a fool takes off in any thunderstorm located over an airfield....As to powerful jets getting you through storms in minites..Nonsense, nature is far more powerful than any machine...As the Air Fance 330 proved

@rightnowgood Has to do with managing cockpit resources. Let the autothrottle manage speed, frees up the pilot flying manage the flight controls easier.
