Internationally acclaimed guitarist Michael Harris stretches the boundaries of instrumental music with an impressive line-up of world-class players and a fresh, new direction in style and sound with his first full-fledged progressive fusion release Tranz-Fused.

Tranz-Fused incorporates prog, metal, blues, funk and jazz elements with a unique compositional twist that clearly separates Harris from the crowd of conventional guitar-slingers. Harris also released a metal masterpiece in 2009 with Darkology.

Sonically, Harris reveals a stripped-down approach on Tranz-Fused with minimal overdubs and pure guitar tones, while also incorporating old-school fusion keyboard and guitar synth sounds. Harris sights Clint Strong, John Scofield, Pat Martino, Al DiMeola, Scott Henderson and Jeff Beck as inspiration for the construction of Tranz-Fused.

Joining Harris on Tranz-Fused is a stellar supporting cast of superstar players including bassists Bunny Brunel (Chick Corea, CAB), Adam Nitti (Dave Weckl Band), David Harbour and James Martin. The drum chair is divided between two masters of time, groove and rhythmic insanity, Atlanta session great Mike Haid, and international drumming sensation Marco Minnemann (Alex Machacek, Paul Gilbert, Adrian Belew, Mike Keneally). Former Lenny White keyboardist Bernard Wright also delivers a blistering solo on "Seizure Salad." Harris comments on his fellow musicians; "I was grateful to have a roster of incredible musicians on this recording, who all brought chops, style, dynamics, and substance to the music."
