We must not allow other people's limited perceptions to define us - Virginia Satir. She was one of the major pioneers in family therapy. Satir's insights into family psychology have become part of the standard toolkit for psychologists and socialworkers worldwide. This is a Lifespan Learning Institute video.

  • more from virginia please.. what a wonderfull person!!

  • She is such an extraordinary person, "Whatever you say to me comes out of you and has VERY LITTLE TO DO WITH ME" The vay she accentuates and uses the voice and tonality. Such a magnificent piece of evdence of who she really was, a wizzard of healing communication. "And to free the healing parts of the self... so they can get out of their stuck place" "Whatever encounters we have ... if it is for ten seconds...can be a healing encounter..." She is trully the wonder of the world

  • Virginia has inspired millions by her work and even after analysing her techniques it is shocking to all of us how she discovered such a therapy pattern that will last and be built-upon for many years to come. In NLP we have been exposed thoroughly to her finding and we teach her teachings to everyone.. Thank you Virginia Satrir and may your soul rest in peace.

  • She has been such a pioneer. I love, and salute her legacy. Other people have built on her work. I honor the work of Dan van Kampenhout, among others. He learned from indigenous peoples and understood,

"Shamanism has never completely died out, but it is reappearing in unexpected forms and continues to renew itself." .... Source: his homepage.

    Thanks for sharing,

    Lisa from Munich
