Wimal Weerawansa warns of media attempts to divide the country

Wimal Weerawansa has referred to attempts made by the media which conspired for a victory of the LTTE, to divide the nation. Jathika Nidahas Peramuna Leader and Parliamentarian made this allegation participating in ITNs Thulawa Programme. Wimal Weerawansa opined that the certain media and websites that were averse to the war have now ventured into a new path of action. While attacking the Government pro- JVP, UNP and LTTE reports were being published. They are working at the behest of the international forces to create rifts among the patriotic forces. Mr. Weerawansa added that they are pro LTTE and UNP forces. Those who are against Ranil in the UNP also do not have a place in them. This displays how the media was active.
