With summer and the open-water season fast approaching, here's a quick technique to help you get air in the chop, while not causing you any extra effort.

  • Whenever I tried to take in air, my legs would stop from kicking lol Then my body would sink.

  • @ridemeup This should help then. Make sure you're not lifting, or looking forward when you breathe. The second the head comes up, rather than rotates... the legs are going to drop. Keep practicing and best of luck.

  • Go Swim is the best swimming tutor on youtube!!

  • @russenbaer - Thanks for the kudos and make sure you visit our website. :)

  • Your vid is a favorite on France

  • This girl is a stud...very well done demonstration and a great athletic body :)

  • When i try to breathe i cant really do it while still floating, i feel like i'm to deep in the water to lift my head?

  • why do i got tired fast when I swim freestyle swim..:((??

  • I just breathe same as competitive freestyle... neutral head position with 1 goggle still in the water. It works for me. When I take in water, the opening to my throat closes up before the water has a chance to enter my pipes and I just wait until the next breath to take in air. I do the head lift water polo stroke thing to sight. Good lil workout hahaha

  • @blazius77 get some swim lessons to learn more efficient technique, such as TI, then start slow /easy and build up on that. Better to begin with good technique then to break bad habits later.

  • i hold my breath during my 2 strokes and begin to exhale when im starting to rotate my head, im seeing that in this vid but i dont know is that girl exhaling on her nose or is that only bubbles made from movement

  • @goswim098 i tried not to lift but my head wont come up.

  • That girls body is great for swimming.

  • Well for me it's not a problem to follow this steps, but since I swim in salty water (sea obviously) I still take sometimes a little bit of water in my mouth...

That is very annoying since I can get use to it! Do u have any tips for this maybe ?
