"You will not find this small Belorussian village on any of the most detailed geographic map today. It was destroyed by fascists in spring 1943.
Khatyn, a former village in Logoisk region of Minsk area in Belarus, has become a symbol of the tragedy of the Belorussian people, a mournful page in the history of the Great Patriotic War.
The memorial complex which embodies the idea of courage and rebelliousness of the people who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the victory was constructed at the place of the destroyed village of Khatyn in 1969. It commemorates every fourth citizen (or 2 230 000 Belorussians) who perished in the war". From official site.

Salut to the victims of Hatyn massacre but the only reason why this particular war crime was so much popularized is to cover the great stalinist soviet genocide against many thousands of best Polish officers in KATYN woods. Done by NKVD forces on order of soviet government in 1940. . This crime will never be forgotten. and You should take to concederation mentionig about it while giving your film the title "Khatyn".

Officers of the Polish Commonwealth were murdered there were, Polish, Jewish, Ukrainian, ByleoRussian, Tatar, German, all who believed agains Communist murder they gave their lives there and the worst part is that the West denied and buried their murder for 70 years...they were murdered twice once in act and once in memory!

I've been to Khatyn and it's such a sad but peaceful place. it really makes you think about a lot when there.
