that's true too about blacks being discouraged, that's why as a father of a 7yr old boy, I do my best to make sure my son doesn't get put into a box by society, I expose him to things that "only white boys do" so that my son knows that there's more out there for him than rappers and pro athletes.
a dialogue like what we're having now (2 black men sharing ideas) is whats needed most to help our people achieve greater things.
