Police order Valley man to stop plowing neighborhood

One Valley neighborhood has been kept clear of snow and ice thanks to one generous neighbor but on Thursday Valley police told Troy Garcia to stop plowing the street. KXLY4's Erik Loney reports.

Yet when i put the orange triangle on the back of my tractor it is legal on public streets. I plow my street and all the side walks with a 1954 Farmall Cub tractor. The police gave me crap last winter because a neighbor complained i put snow in the end of there drive , thats what happens when a plow goes by. How i didn't end up in cuffs i will never know , i told him to go do something useful. I kept right on plowing.... Put a orange triangle on the back.

@dieselpwrd16 here in ohio u can goto a license plate beura and get a stick for a quad that says u can drive it on the side of a road or street yes the bike will be regitered and will have a registration but no plates just a sticker that has numbers that r married to the registration but there are a few restrictions it cant be drivien on a highway and theres certain hours it can be driven . ive seen people put turn signals and other lights and even a horn from a motor cycle on

@unclesara You're exactly right. There are literally thousands and thousands of very similar cases. From lemonade stands getting shut down to peaceful demonstrators getting maced because they're on a certain kind of public property. We need to ship about 99% of our politicians to an island where they can sit around and make arbitrary laws for each other to follow.

@dieselpwrd16 In some states that is a gray area. It depends on the size motor and or speed of the machine. Not sure about WI but in NY you have to register ATVs. Check your local and state laws. C.Y.A. (Cover Your A__)!!! Just sayin',,,,

Get a tractor...a slow moving vehicle sign, and a blower or blade. Problem solved. No license needed.
