I know this place so well, but have never seen the river so high. They have had even worse floods this year, i wish the locals best wishes--its such a shame, its a beautiful area

which teashop ? the one closest to the bridge or the one thats at the beginning of the track to go to Hollows farm ?

i go to the lakes every year with my dad & 2 kids we must of just missed these floods (LUCKILY) , but we will be back at the grange in borrowdale this year without a doubt

wow, myself and 5 friends were out in this last night, wading through sholder deep water to get back to the climbing club house, we were lucky to be alive

We werent taking part in the OMM, for us it was just the last camping trip of the year. We passed many of you lot throughout the day, particularly along Honister. Couldn't believe you were carrying on, and I dont think the worst of the weather had hit yet. I'm not going to make any judgements, but you's must have some determination. :-)
