@179107199999 I think it may have symbolized the character of Terra, as she was shown as a weakling throughout Dissidia. It only shows one part of her entire personality of FF6, so unlike the entire song being remade, they chose remake only the very beginning. The awesome parts missing may have symbolized her "maturity" over the course of FF6, but that's just my two cents. That's just my opinion though :P

@grieversnow Lightning was a child, she realized that in the game herself. But she still was kinda eh. Cloud was never emo like anyone claims (as others have, stupid them). Cloud was very apathetic though. But Nomura made him Emo in all games/movies after FFVII cause he, get this, wanted to make him more like fanfictions. What a terrible terrible designer to let Fanfictions change a character -_-

Cloud's pretentiousness came from his false memories, at the very beginning of the game you can see it; how he threw the fact that he was SOLDIER in every one's face at any given chance. It changed when he started doubting himself with Tifa's memories, but all the same. And I certainly know what turned me off of Lightning. Her sister was in a crisis and she didn't much care, or showed it like a child would, having a fit at her own birthday party.
