I have a '91 with the 3.4 swap too. I concur. The difference is night and day. With the 2.8 I went on a fun trail ride in Missouri with some Jeepers, but couldn't follow them on all the hills due to lack of power. With the 3.4... the Trooper would LEAD them :)

i've been following the story of your trooper from a1989 trooper google search and seen your website i like what you've done to your truck i own a1989 and i want to find the rite engine swap and wasn't sure if the 3.4 was the easiest swap what other mods did you have to do to make this work . great work

You still have the 2.8 motor, eh? That motor is a dog!!! The 3.4 swap is well worth it, throw a locker in the rear and you are good to go!
