Fluoride Free Austin Presents New CDC Fluoride Recommendations to Austin City Council

The Centers for Disease Control have recently downgraded the acceptable levels of fluoride in city water systems to almost half of the previous levels due to studies that show over 1/3 of children show signs of Fluorosis. Fluorosis is a discoloration and hardening of the teeth caused by fluoride.

As the long as the advocates of fluoridation are allowed to frame the argument we fight a losing battle. This issue is not about how much fluoride is too much or even about whether fluoride is good or bad for you. In order to be free of this problem we must begin a full court press insistence that adding ANYTHING to drinking water, that is not expressly meant to clean it, falls way beyond the scope of the proper function of government.
