Whenever the veil is debated, muslim extremists bring out all these women that say "its my choice to wear this" pehaps so - but what pressures have been brought to bear on them. I listened to an interview with women who claimed to choose to wear the veil and they said they chose to wear it because they felt safe with the veil, in other words these women feel intimidated in their own community and it is never right for a woman to feel that way in her own community.

@omarmommy I don't rely on the world to give me self worth, nor do I rely on religious superstition like you to do the same. I hold that every man is an end into himself, not the means to the ends of others. He must exist for his own sake, not sacrificing himself to others nor sacrificing others to himself.
