I love people from West Virginia. I love the fact that most are friendly and polite. Which is more than you can say for out here in Arkansas. I think about 95% of the women here go out at night and fly around on brooms. I'll back that statement anyplace too. They scare the daylights out of me. I'd move to any hollow inWest Virginia anytime

Just saw a documentary on the Appalachian people. WOW!! I couldn't even imagine living the lifestyle and facing the daily struggles. I'm from Los Angeles a whole different way of life so far removed.

@bikerman6577 Maybe ya'll orta be like us Tar Heels, we tote the accent, ware' them thangs called shoes, and we are the most educated in the whole region. Now I'm waiting for someone to say we don't have real mountains here; while actually we have the biggest, and unlike KY, and WVA we don't strip the land and blow our mountains up. Way to go guys speed up that process of erosion with tnt.

People say the same thing about west virginians yeah we're kinda behind but most of us have running water and all that and those who don't survive just fine without it
The Appalachian people have never considered themselves in poverty or' poor. Maby in material thangs they don't even need. Its the rest of the modern world that is' poor in spirit and' has lost their way. In God we Trust (THE BIBLE) can still be found here and' Appalachian folk knows the most important thing in life is ' AIR' FOOD' and' WATER and that the broad road leads to nowhere.
