Anybody know the name of the tune?

@Passion613 Sure it is, and even if you who you say you are, I hope you don't try to pass yourself as some kind of educator, in any capacity of the word. Heavies like Ernie who could play circles around you would never be so small-minded and judgemental towards students.

dig this, that was how long ago? those young cats are probabaly at the top of their game now more than ever. they reveiwed the tape. duh?!

well, they're in school looking to get blown away , meet people, be changed , make connections, and hopefully learn something. they aren't there because they are fully formed. not to mention they are probably really freaked out to be playing with a master. tough stuff. it's too bad they're paying so much to get that.
surfing on cement?"skateboarding" , i think that's what the kids are calling it now.

@Passion613 I have found that people that talk big like your statements cant really play themselves so I would keep your comments to yourself. The world could do without this kind of attitude. It our job to contribute positively to the jazz world, and you my friend are tearing it down not building it up.

age means life experience and life experience translates into feeling and passion. You can not expect a teenager to sound like an experienced grown up because it's not possible unless he's faking by copying someone else's style. What these youngsters are expected to do at their age is to learn how to master their instruments. Life will add the rest.

Ernie is not only a very important player-educator in this life but an inspiration as well to eons of players, students and fans. It's great to see/hear the " passing it on" that he's about here. Beautiful!

@chiko4m that was a bit harsh....

lol man.
This guy is either an internet troll, or a really stupid person.
His posts are all negative toward others.
what's wrong with musicians today? Not talking about Ernie Watts...but those youngsters lack any kind of musical feel or groove..soul...it's like surfing on cement...

@Passion613 A point and shoot camera isn't going to pick up the ride or the bass very well. You make your statement like you expect a "youngster" to just suddenly wake up one day and be an amazing musician. Thats what a clinic is for. A professional to share his talent with the "youngsters" so they can improve. It all starts somewhere. And from what I can recall Ernie Watts stated that he was playing with a "promising group of musicians".

@chiko4m if you don't got feel and groove as a youngster, you're not going to get as an adult, no matter how many Ernie Watts clinics you go to. Sure, they'll be able to play the music , but it will sound like robots playing...that isn't music my friend...you can't teach soul, groove, and feel...nuff said...

@Passion613 And you can tell me this because you have a great sense of... what? art? Or the fact that you are a great musician yourself? I can really tell by the videos of groceries etc. on your channel. We don't need to hear this crap from people like you who most likely clap and 1 and 3.
