  • At the beginning of this project, did you use any co2 or heater at all? lol Just asking because I want to try this project too. :) Any tips? haha

  • @JDYRiceBoy

In the beginning, it was dry start, CO2 is free from the air :D....no heater needed as I live in Malaysia back then...all i need to do is to keep the plants moist.

  • Maybe u can help me. I bought glossostigma in pots with that mineral wool. I'm still having trouble planting it. I separated it into sections and pushed the roots down and each runner under the sand. Is it true to push everything into the sand until only u can see is leaves. Or do u have to leave so stem showing. I have high light(4.5w per gallon) and nutrient rich substrate as well as CO2.

  • @fortheloveoffish

Ideally we plant it deep till only the leaves to be seen. The reason being, it is much secure, and won't float easily. But it is also fine to allow more of the section out of the substrate, as long as it doesn't float, that's good enough. But what trouble are you facing exactly? Your glosso not growing? dying? how old is your tank?

  • where can i find these types of plants? (the hairgrass and other). is there any website that sells themor maybe a store? oh and how big will the dwarf hairgrass grow? thanks in advance

  • @TjamesNC

Well you can start with visiting your local aquarium shop. If you can't find any, then you can try online community site, and look for hobbyist around your area. Another option is thru ebay. The grass won't grow big, it could grow much taller if there is not enough lighting. Under good condition, they usually grow around 3 - 4 cm, if I still remember correctly :D
