For more than a hundred years the sound of the Bunker Hill Mine whistle filled the small town of Kellogg, Idaho. While the mine has closed the Silver Mountain Resort is bringing the whistle back to life. KXLY4's Annie Bishop reports.
It would blow right about the time the mantrain would go into the Kellogg Tunnel. We miners would check our pocketwatches to make dure ours agreed with the big whistle, because thats the one we went by.
I wish I could Remember this, My Dad worked there when I was born In Kellogg. We owned what is now the Gondolla House in Kellogg, and moved down to Washington when I was five Years old. It's great seeing My old Home Town Video's.
