These uploads are really precious. I was born in 1952 and grew up in Hong Kong living in Public housing. Family of 5 lived in a unit of 120 sq.ft. Public water, sewer and bathrooms. I need to tell you all that I had a very happy childhood because of my family. Material cannot trade happiness. Thank you very much Michael!

@ngaitom09 Yes, you are right. The cup was actually used for cleaning teeth in the morning. However it was lost in my home.

Excellent glimpse into the past. You have very good videos of Hong Kong... thank you for sharing.
Many thanks for sharing your treasured images. I was born in Hong Kong in 1951. I vaugely rememered sitting on my dad's shoulder watching a colourful parade not knowing what was it about until I was a little older when my dad told me.

I love old Hong Kong.
My old home has a cup with the wordings of the coronatrion of QE II in 1953. The cup was given to my elder brother from his school in 1953.

Yes, with the older generation these dear memories still linger. The festivities were quite an event at the time.
