I should also point out that Lewis' primary accomplishment was as a jumper. He was Olympic champion 4 times and was undefeated for 10 years in the long jump and has posted the majority of the jumps over 28 and a half feet. The fact that in '88 he was found to have the same banned stimulants in his system as over a hundred other athletes doesn't explain how he dominated all of them for a decade and a half.

As effortless and beautiful as Lewis was as a sprinter, I don't think any Lewis would get close to Bolt. Bolt is from another planet. But, for pure aesthethics, Lewis was
the best of all time.

Ben johnson was a cheater,a doper.Lewis took what everyone else used till 1990 or so,you can't say he was doped at that time.
Carl Lewis was the best long jumper ever and a 200m natural talent.With nowadays tracks,shoes and trainings,he'd be a challenge for Usain Bolt too.
