Bill Maher gets schooled on vaccines by Bill Frist

I love that "its a historical document...what year was that?..1950, or something?"..and Maher looks down at his papers, and clearly it was. Im a big fan of Bill Maher, hes a very intelligent man, but in this case, he does not know his subject matter, and is being irresponsible. Broadly speaking, you can know a litte about everything, but not alot. In all there is to know, you will know very little. Understanding that, will put you on a road to greater knowledge...otherwise you can't learn.

Now there is brand new research that suggests a possible link between vaccines and autism in the form of the newly discovered XMRV retrovirus.
We will eventually have tests for immune system deficiencies and various types of pre-vaccinations for children needing specific bolstering of their immune systems before standard vaccinations are employed.

I don't mean to be funny with you, but "brand new research" isn't great. I mean who is doing this research, has it been peer reviewed. It can't just be outside the box...it has to be falsifiable. Its a large body of evidence from multiple sources that leads to greater understanding. Individual studies are the beginning not the end.

The Reno researchers discovery underwent strenuous peer review before their study was published in the world renown scientific journal Science in October.

There is no schooling here. Only diverging opinios on flu vaccine which is a very controversial issue where the amercan people is divided half and half on it.

@Chamozovitala ......Im a big fan of Bill Maher....but watch his face in the video again....he clearly did know the difference between the live and dead virus.... Quoting Dr.Saulk (one of the greatest Doctors of the 20th century) from the past shows a lack of understanding of science....that was then this is now...ie:more evidence now. Dr.Frist deals with this lack of understanding from lay-persons on a daily basis....He was trying to get his message out without being insulting to Bill.
