Zachary Richard performs "Cap Enragé", Montreal, 1996
Cap Enragé is a landmark in southern New Brunswick which inspired the song.

  • @cripto136 Very sad! But here I am.. and the cousins and families.. proof that we are strong and have survived as a nation.. We live on... but in permanent exile without our homelands! We can only hope that other countries learn from those mistakes of the past... no more ethnic cleansing.. ever again!

  • @molamama Amen. At least, our coutry seem to have learn from it's mistake today, sad that this happend to late to save the Acadian Nation...

  • He is Acadian-Cajun. Tho he is from Louisiana, his (our) ancestors are from l'Acadie, what is now Canada. Our French Acadian ancestors were forced from the homeland in 1755 & many found their way to Louisiana to birth the Cajun culture. Cajun is short for Acadian. Called Le Grand Derangement, the deportation was one of the first examples of ethnic cleaning in North America. Zachary sings about Cap Enragé the observation point where the prison ships left the shore to take our people out to sea.

  • yes he is cajun from louisianna but still is the same people as us the french acadiens

  • OH MA MA MA MA MA

  • the mistake of his origines often comes out of the fact he performed a lot in Quebec, and that well, Acadians and Cajuns lives in 2 different places, but are the same seperated people. Cap Enragé is an album he wrote after a trip in Acadia

  • @arnlab ahhh wherever hes from hes a world class. Automaticaly assumed he wasw a French ?Quebecer. My bad.....V
