@beckabluesband My guess is so that he can hear himself better - sound reflects off the wall. I do it sometimes when praciticing. Sing into a corner and I can hear myself over the music.

@beckabluesband One the lyrics are on the wall and he may not have decided on the final lyric arrangement.

Second in that much of a confined space feedback would be a hassle, especially with the volume to get over a drum kit and 2 amps, so to reduce they may have found the sweet spot there.
