Is it true that the female Mantis out power the Males
haha, free range mantis. I just found one and I keep it in a hampster cage and feed him crickets from the pet store. Is that raw chicken it's eating in the video??

@46614jef No, it's not raw chicken. It's from a chicken and mushroom pie.

@Degitalxxxde3trgfXXX I just find them everywhere; outside, inside. The person who lived at our work took care of this one, but just like me, he did not keep it confined and rather let it roam free. My cats don't bother them and they can hunt for themselves, eating moths and such, so I can't say what the care level of a confined mantis would be. In the case of them roaming free, the care level is 1 or 2, since they take care of themselves.

@rudolphsteinkampf
what do you mean by roam free, do you mean completely free around the house?
poeticreject 5 months ago
@poeticreject Yeah, but it generally stays in one area/room and they tend to stay clear of the cats. Now and then I would find it in a different room and sometimes they leave the house. I see them more as temporary pets than something I would put in an aquarium. But if I had some really rare and big mantis, I wouldn't let it roam free.
