It is often the only thing that separates a person from the crowd, and Mr. Gitomer does it well. Aside from that, the .5 leaves room for subcategories or secondary reasons. Hope that helps...
Quick question for you, Mr. Gitomer: I noticed in many of your books you compose lists that includes decimals (ex: 5.5, 7.5, 10.5, etc...). Why is that? I'm a Marketing Student and I'd love to know the reasoning behind this!
