This lady is not impressive: 1. She says she substitutes half of the butter for shortening without explaining why? Does it make a better cookie, or is it healthier? I hate it when cooks do things without ADEQUATE EXPLANATIONS!!!! 2. She removes cookies from the cookie sheet and places apparently directly on her counter. Again, why?? why not use a cooling rack? Is she just lazy, in a hurry, or do she think a rack is unnecessary. EXPLAIN WHAT AND WHY YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING!

I think 3/4 cup of sugars - white and brown are more consistent..... at least what most chocolate chip recipe calls for. I think the cookies don't want to have too much sweetness in it. The best factor for having the best tasting cookies is butter.... margarine just won't do. Also to reduce the risk of cookies sticking to the pan, I use parchment paper being 'glued down' by cooking spray.

ew was she putting them on the countertop?? gross!! i hope she cleaned it b4 she filmed, still it takes like 5 mins to have bacteria regrow on countertops :-P anyway great show! i have a craving for cookies now lol
