  • Wake up! Stop voting for those who are against the will of the people. We pay their fabulous salaries! We shouldn't have to protest to force them to do what's right. That's what they got elected to do! Consue

  • How did it work when there was no income tax? A flat tax for everyone seems to be the way to go. Let everyone pay something. I know it would affect all the accountants, but there could be other jobs for them. Let everyone pay 10 to 15 percent of their income. I think there would be enough money to support all the non profit agencies.

  • DC is so broken, maybe they no longer know. Maybe they think this is the new normal which appears to be survival of the fittest! Per MSNBC last night, taxing the rich would wipe out the deficit. So I say let's tax the rich. ALL Americans should pay their fair share to support our government; otherwise we will have again what we have today -- a big mess with no one seeming to think.

  • @djm159 The wealthy have all of the tax breaks is the problem. I'm middle class, college educated and no body is giving me a dayum thing. I work 60 hours a week in the medical field and see it falling apart. I'm not saying taxing the rich is the only solution, but hell I'm being taxed like hell for earning over $100,000.00 a year and it gets worst. I woe the IRS for an over site on my part and that is being taken from me along with the most amount of tax you can possibly pay for my pay bracket.

  • @Bon1st This is an important point! Thanks for making it. Interesting. I think that I'll check into this further. Thanks!

  • @Bon1st The wealthy pay most of the taxes now and also provide most of the jobs. So what you're saying is punish those who are successful and have worked hard and reward those who who do nothing. Single payer insurance rations healthcare in favor of people who refuse to take responsibility for their lives. Good plan. How does taxing the "rich" help you? It doesn't. Tax welfare recipients.

  • Tax the rich

  • It's time to repeal Congress's life time free Health insurance - give them the same coverage the average American has. Let them see what reality is all about!

  • @Bon1st, I agree, single payer is the way to go, people need healthcare, not HMO profits. Google Wall Street Journal's 100 top executive salaries, and you will see the billions these health insurance CEO's make! You can still be rich, just let everyone get some healthcare when they need it!
