Starts with basic tumbao conga rhythm on one, two, then three congas, while building to include keeping time (1 & 3) on large bell with left foot and 2/3 Son Clave with right foot. A few variations toward the end.

  • Wow, this is the first conventional rhythm I've seen you play on this videos! Very clean and nice playing! (BTW I'm surprised you haven't been attacked by the elitist congueros who think only mestizos can play: NICE job)

  • @ELRLR Thanks for the compliments. I also play the conventional samba rhythm on another video and my own version of quaquanco. Of course, let's not forget the clave and cascara which are on many of these. Clave is the most important 'conventional' rhythm of all. And yes, I have had some attacks and negative comments, but you can't please everyone!

  • Excellent!

  • @campaneo1 Gracias!
